The Gardens are an enchanting setting for a Wedding Celebration, or

for a boutique event such as Sculpture Northland and The Enchanted Garden.

Weddings In the Gardens

Whangarei Quarry Gardens is a magical venue for your special day; a calm, green oasis only a few minutes drive from central Whangarei.

There are several sites within the Gardens that are suitable for small or large ceremonies, with some parties choosing to come in for photo-shoots only.

The main Wedding Garden is a large grassy open area, surrounded by Camellia trees and flower beds. This garden can host a large ceremony of 100-200 guests.

The Bunker is perfect for smaller groups of 20-40 guests, and has the dramatic background of a concrete ruin, with orchids and epiphytes growing on the walls. This is also a shaded site, so perfect for hot summer afternoons.

Lakeside has two sites available, one for smaller parties, and the main area for larger groups. This magical setting is perfect for those who know their guest won't mind the 10 minute walk to get there. The golf cart will be available to help ferry people there.

The Waterfall is a wonderful backdrop for intimate groups of 10-20 people. It is a 15 minute walk from the carpark.

We have a golf cart available to help guests get to the ceremony area on the day, and our event manager Kerry, will help ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.

The talented team from Northland Youth Theatre and Circus Kumurani teamed up to create a magical journey to "The Garden That Time Forgot". It was the perfect production for the Gardens and took the audience on an exciting adventure that was extremely well recieved with sold out shows every night. Bad weather ruined the party however, so we did a rerun in December 2018 to sold out shows. Thank you Northland Youth Theatre for bringing your amazing talents to the Gardens!
